When I decided to begin teaching people how to ride, I never saw it as one of those things you "try out" to see if you like. I just knew that it was what I was supposed to be doing. Through my years in the horse industry, I have experienced joy beyond what is reasonable at the slightest progress in my riding due to someone's instruction. That enjoyment increased tremendously when I realized I could give that to other people. I teach to experience that elation, and I hope that I can share that with my students, whether it be through the levels of competition, or simply teaching a child how to trot. The thrill and inspiration of this endeavor is why I teach it, and I hope that anyone who joins me can experience that as well, horse and rider alike.
I've had a blessed life, and have had some remarkable horses. The two pictured above are Amadeus and Darcy, the ones who taught me the most, and without them I would not be in the place that I am in now. I believe each rider will find that horse that will change their life, and with any luck, I will be able to help with that process!
